Place of Play Report Card
Like tournament competitiveness, the board tracks several metrics regarding each members’ Pace of Play, using information provided by the pro-shop after each tournament. The key metric we review in each board meeting is how well each member “keeps up” with the group in front of them. Our goal is to have all groups finish within 10 minutes of the group ahead of them (given they tee’d off 10 minutes after them,), allowing for a “grace period” of a few (3) minutes.
A summary of the number of rounds each member plays year-to-date where they have finished “on-time” or “behind” is provided below, sorted by the percentage of rounds each member was “behind”. In the second half of the season, the Board will be using this data to help make decisions on how best to continue to improve the club’s pace of play; based on member pairings, tee time assignment, tournament rules, etc.
NOTE: All players in a group get the same categorization of “On-Time” vs. “Behind”, thus it’s the responsibility of all members in a group to make sure the group stays up with the group in front of them, and all members of the group should work together to play Ready Golf and help each other to do so. There will always be times when a group falls behind the group in front of you, but it’s important that they “catch-up” as soon as possible.

Rounds Included/Excluded from Analysis:
- Rounds where the player is in the first group of the day don’t count in the analysis since since there is no group ahead of them (typically) to measure against.
- If a group follows a group that has less players than them, they are given a 5 minute “grace period” (instead of 3 minutes) to finish their round compared to the group ahead of them (since the group ahead will probably play the 18th hole faster than them)
- EXCEPT if the group ahead of them is the first group of the day in which case the round is not counted in the analysis.
- If the clubhouse didn’t track a groups’ time for some reason (typical for away tournaments) the round is not included in the analysis
