How It Works
Tournaments are played on Saturdays twice a month. Registration period opens 30 days prior and is on a first come first served basis. There is a waitlist once tournament becomes full.
Our handicap chairman and member operations chairman have gone back and gathered data from the last twenty post-able tournament scores for each member and from that data they have established, for every member, a “tournament handicap“.
This tournament handicap will represent a more accurate and equal level playing field for all members of all flights and levels.
You can view your current tournament handicap here.
The fee will be a flat $15 for the 2025 season.
If you have signed up for a tournament and cannot participate it is the players responsibility to cancel at least 48 hours prior to the tournament. Cancellations can be made through the tournament director.
Cancellations will be backfilled from the waitlist.
The system works by awarding points based on your net score (your handicap adjusted score) on each hole.
Best ball involves teams where each player on the team plays his or her own golf ball throughout the round.
After each hole the player with the lowest score on the hole (or “best ball”) out of the team serves as the team’s score. The higher scoring players’ scores are thrown out for that particular hole.
A scramble format involves teams where each player on the team hits a tee shot, and then the players decide which shot they like better. The players then play from that spot. The players who’s shot were not taken pick up their ball and moves it to within one club length of the selected spot. Once the spot is selected, players then play a shot from that spot, and again pick which one they like better. This continues until the hole is finished.
Teams play as foursomes. One player is designated the Wolf before each hole, and this is decided by rotation. This player plays out the hole individual net. The remaining players play out the hole as a scramble. The scores are combined for the hole as the team score for that hole.
